Visa medical FAQs

Quick answers about timing, results, apostilles and which medicals we can and can't do.

Can you do Australian, Canadian, New Zealand or US immigration medicals?

No. These countries only accept immigration medicals from doctors on their own approved panel. Australia, Canada and New Zealand list panel physicians on their immigration websites, and the US Embassy lists approved UK clinics. The same applies to TB tests for UK visas, which are done in the applicant's home country.

We can still help with related paperwork, such as a GP letter or a summary of your medical history.

How long does the appointment take?

45 minutes for most medicals. If you need a chest X-ray, that is a separate short appointment at our partner imaging centre.

How quickly will I get my signed form?

Most results are back within 2–5 working days. TB blood tests can take a little longer. Once everything is back, the GP signs your form the same or next working day. Tell us your deadline when you book.

Is the price really all-inclusive?

Yes, for everything your destination normally asks for: the GP, the laboratory tests, and the X-ray and ECG where marked. If your form asks for something extra, such as a drug screen or a pregnancy test, we tell you the price before you book.

What if a result comes back abnormal?

The GP will contact you first to explain what it means. Some results need a repeat test, treatment or a referral before the form can be completed. We never write anything on your form without discussing it with you.

Can you apostille my certificate?

The apostille is issued by the FCDO Legalisation Office, not by the clinic. We sign your certificate as a UK-registered doctor, and you then apply to the FCDO online. We can advise on what they need.

I'm pregnant. Can I still have a visa medical?

Yes. Tell us when you book. Chest X-rays are usually avoided in pregnancy. Some countries accept a TB blood test instead, or let the X-ray wait until after the birth. The GP will check your destination's rules.

Do you do medicals for children?

Yes, for most destinations. Children usually need fewer tests. Turks & Caicos, for example, only needs the form, a vaccination record and a urine test for under-15s. Ask us for a price.

I don't see my country listed.

We can do many other good-health certificates and employer medicals. Send us your form on WhatsApp and we'll quote a fixed price.

Where are you?
