What’s included
- In-person GP examination and completion, signing and stamping of your medical form
- Blood and urine samples taken in clinic, processed by our partner laboratory
- Chest X-ray at our partner imaging centre, with a radiologist’s report
- Copies of all your results, and the signed form ready to submit
Tests we carry out
Based on the usual South Africa requirements. If your form lists something different, we follow your form.
- Full blood count, ESR and blood group
- Kidney, liver and bone profile
- Cholesterol profile, iron and transferrin
- Creatine kinase
- HIV 1 & 2
- Hepatitis B surface antigen
- Hepatitis C antibody
- Syphilis
- Chlamydia and gonorrhoea (urine PCR)
What to bring
- Passport
- The South African medical certificate (form BI-811) and radiological report (BI-806)
- A list of any regular medicines
The medical certificate and radiology report must be recent when you lodge your application. Check how old your visa centre accepts them to be.
